Point Blank audio school is structured in a unique way which allows you to hand-pick the modules that interest you most, so we can create an audio course tailor-made to suit your desired path in the music industry. Each module is 3 months long. You can take individual modules, a combination of 4 modules (Merit Course) or a combination of 6 modules (Diploma Course). We also offer online audio courses for those unable to attend classes at the school.

Point Blank is accredited by the British Accreditation Council, and the courses themselves are accredited by NCFE, EdExcel and the Open College Network. We also offer a HNC BTEC Level 4 Course. Tutors are joined each term by guest speakers from record labels, publishers, management and other areas of the music industry. Recent guests have included Annie Mac, Pete Tong, Basement Jaxx, and A&R representatives from Sony BMG and Atlantic Records.

Our music production courses are designed to give you practical, hands-on training under the supervision of an experienced professional producer.

The introductory music production courses provide high quality training in the basic techniques needed to create music on your chosen software. By learning with professionals from the beginning, you not only save a lot of time overcoming the daunting first steps of how to navigate the software, but you also ensure that you never pick up any elementary bad habits.

Live Sound Engineering Courses
Point Blank's live sound engineering courses have been developed for anyone serious about a career in the live music industry. Consequently the live music industry has boomed and so has the demand for properly trained audio engineers.

Our live sound engineering courses will provide you with training in how to use a typical set up in a live venue as well as a deep understanding of all the technical terms and theories of live sound. Weekly classes are taught by an experienced professional producer in real live venues across London. On top of these classes, the live sound engineering courses include a monthly live event at the legendary Vibe Bar in Brick Lane. You will be given the opportunity to put your audio training into practice with up and coming UK bands, overseeing their sound-check and reinforcing the audio during their live performances.
