Where is Point Blank located?

Can you send me a prospectus or course brochure?

You can download printable versions of our courses from the website. We no longer produce a printed prospectus because you can find all the information you need in our online course brochure. Studio technology is changing all the time and we work hard to ensure that we are teaching cutting edge techniques on the latest equipment. Rather than send out information which is out of date, we update the website on a weekly basis with all the latest news and course information.  We also have a monthly e-newsletter which features all the latest offers, opportunities and news. Sign up here.

Can I visit the studios to take a look around?

Of course. We offer a tour of the studios each Wednesday afternoon at 3pm. If you would like to visit the studios, take a look around and find out more about the courses on offer then just call us on +44 (0) 207 729 4884 to make an appointment. If this time is not convenient for you then we will be happy to arrange an alternative time. For a map and directions just click here

Do you accept international students?

Point Blank welcomes students from all over the world, however if you are applying from outside the European Union, it is highly likely that you will require a student visa in order to study in the UK. For further information, please visit the following website: www.ukvisas.gov.uk. All of our long term courses meet the criteria necessary for the award of a Student Visa. You must be able to show that you have been accepted on a course of study at an educational establishment that is on the Department for Education and Skills (DfES) Register of Education and Training Providers. You can verify Point Blank’s registration here. Simply click on “search the register” and type “Point Blank” as a search term. Once you have registered for your course, you will be issued with a letter of acceptance to assist with your application. However, the responsibility for securing the visa itself is down to the individual student and Point Blank can take no responsibility for applications that are unsuccessful. Please ensure that you qualify before you pay your registration fees, because these fees are not refundable in the event that your visa is refused.

What are the entry requirements for these courses?

Entry requirements for the HNC level 4 course are outlined in the online course brochure. In most other cases there are no entry requirements. The courses that we offer start at entry-level so you don’t need any previous experience, exam grades or qualifications to start. For more experienced students, it may be possible to enrol you on a more intermediate or advanced course. To discuss your course requirements just call the course advisors on 0207 729 4884 or contact us via the enquiry form and we’ll call you right back.

What qualifications do I get?

This depends upon which course you choose to take. The HNC Level 4 course is accredited by EdExcel and validated by Canterbury Christchurch University. The Diploma, Merit and many of the shorter courses are accredited by the Open College Network. For full details please refer to our Qualifications page.

Do you provide accommodation at the music school?

We don’t I’m afraid. If you are looking for accommodation nearby then we recommend the following websites:
www.gumtree.com
www.moveflat.com
www.rightmove.com
www.loot.com
As a rough guide, you should pay no more than £125 per week for shared accommodation. There is plenty of affordable accomodation near to the college in areas such as Highbury, Islington, Camden, Dalston and Stoke Newington. Property in the East of London (eg Bethnal Green) is generally more affordable. Point Blank is located in Hoxton, London N1. If you wish to get a clearer picture of whereabouts in London this is, then there are another useful websites: Streetmap, Google Maps or Multimap.
Simply type in our postcode N1 5DL and then zoom out of the map until you can see where we are in relation to the surrounding area.
