This is a 4 month Internship with the possibility of employment based upon your performance.

 

Experience Needed:

 

You would need to be reliable, methodical, very musical, and able to work with and communicate with a team. You need to be confident at sound editing such as using Sound Forge, and Music Software such as Reason, Ableton, Cubase (or your chosen platform). You need to also have concrete experience working with Synths, Music Software Programs, and the music world, and especially understand formats such as Apple Loops, Acid Loops, MPC and the like, this will help a lot.  Ideally you would be a musician/music producer, looking for experience, and ultimately steady work within a growing music company.

 

Your work:

You will be assisting our Content Manager in the studio and at your desk with the formatting of audio, such as quality control, checking wav files, previewing sounds, editing sounds, percs could include product music demo production, samples production, and others.

 

This position could turn into a full time position if we feel you have the skills to offer.

 

Extra Notes:

• We are based in London, SE16. You must live in London to apply for this position. Preferably in Central London.
• You must be available 3 days per week. Preferably Tues-Thurs for the foreseeable future. We are prepared to be reasonably flexible if you are at college.

Experience Needed:

You would need to have proven experience in the customer service field, be reliable, quick-thinking, very literate, confident, professional, and methodical, and have experience in music production. You would need to be very aware of, and have experience in current music software, for example Logic, Reason, FL Studio and the like. This is essential for the position. Quick keyboard typing skills will also be beneficial to this position.

 

Ideally you would be a musician/music producer, looking for full-time, steady work within a growing music company.

 

All our customers are musicians. You would be answering emails that come in about our products, dealing with customer service, and general admin. You will also need to be confident on the phone, as per enquiries required.

• Full Time Position available:  Monday – Friday 10am – 6pm for the foreseeable future. (This is not a temporary position. 35 Hours Per Week)

Mode 7 are looking for a freelance MIDI composer and audio engineer for this entry-level position. You will be working on building products for musicians, as well as potentially contributing to the audio aspects of our other projects, which include PC and mobile games. You must be able to produce a large number of compelling and melodic MIDI sequences in contemporary House and Trance styles. Home studio set-up and good time management are essential. This position is ideal for a student who has completed the Music Industry Project module.

Crossfade Productions are looking for producers to create interactive musical content using Ableton Live. You must have a deep music knowledge and extensive live DJing experience, plus the ability to create memorable 'hooks' and musical sequences. This is a full-time role and you will be working to a tight creative brief and deadline. The role is ideally suited to students who have completed the Remix & AV / Music Industry Project module on our Music Production & Sound Engineering course.

Defected Records are currently looking for an A&R assistant to manage the delivery, formatting, upload and filing of music. Responsibilities include: Managing delivery of audio masters and parts from artists and licensors, converting and formatting audio files for mastering and distribution, managing the music server, creating and uploading edits for sample clips and ringtones and uploading tracklistings and artwork for all product onto gracenote for iTunes. The ideal candidate will be tech focused, highly organised and efficient with good attention to detail. A passion for dance music and experience with Abelton is an advantage.

You will be expected to set up PA's , drum kits, instruments and amps for sessions and pack away once completed. Obviously you will need a strong pop sensibility and musical background coupled with a thorough understanding of contemporary production techniques.
