Course Overview

The Live Sound Course - Certificate is a six month programme designed to give you real hands-on experience of working in the live music sector. As more artists look to performance rather than record sales for revenue, so employment opportunities have increased for skilled live sound engineers. However, to break into the live music industry you are going to need lots of gig experience and this course will give youexactly that. You'll be working at top London venue the O2 Academy, Islington using all their latest equipement.  Every month you will get the opportunity to put your skills into practice at one of London's famed music venues - a total of six live shows! On hand to guide you thorugh the course will be pro sound engineers with extensive experience in venues including The Barfly, Islington Academy & The Garage. These are the venues that helped to launch the careers of Coldplay, Kaiser Chiefs, Franz Ferdinand, The Strokes, The Gossip and many others, so you are in good hands!

Tutor profile Ben Perrier 02 Academy's Sound Engineer Ben has worked with Bob Dylan, Massive Attack, The Streets, Jim Jones Revue and more. He's one half of the teaching crew on this course.
