Warm up A key part of our singing course, we show you vocal exercises to get your vocal chords in to shape and deliver a great singing performance without straining your voice. Very important if you are serious about your career. Live performance You wanna rock the crowd? Well you are gonna need stage presence, confidence and your own image. Plus live microphone techniques, wireless mic’s and how to set up monitor mixes. Studio performance & recording techniques The singing course covers studio techniques used for recording vocals; Sound checking; Headphone mix; lead & backing vocals; double tracking; harmonies and ad libs. Very important for the working sessions singer. Microphone technique How to sing into the microphone to enhance your performance; reacting to the level of your voice against other instruments; dynamics. Lyric writing Lyrical content, subject matter and use of rhyme. Understanding the writing process. Writing original material and finding inspiration. Songwriting skills How songs are structured; what makes a song work? Verse, chorus and middle eights / bridges. Hooks, drops and outros and how they combine to form a coherent song structure. Demo CD As part of the singing course, record a song in a studio with a Point Blank engineer and take away a demo CD at the end of your course.
