Recently named “Best Music Production & DJ College” for the fifth consecutive year at the DJ Tech Awards, Point Blank have announced another unique first. November sees the first ever female only DJ course at the college.
The course is an intensive two day weekend Crash Course aimed at beginners and covering all the essential skills from equipment and set-up through to beat matching and blending. The classes are taught in small groups, ensuring plenty of one-to-one tuition and the teaching is delivered by music industry experts with extensive experience.
At the helm for the November course is Tracie Storey, better known as 10 Sui. Heralded as ‘The First Lady of Breaks’ she has shared the decks with the likes of Josh Wink, Funk D’void, Silicon Soul, Coldcut and Freeland to name but a few. Over the last 10 years, she has carved her niche in a very competitive industry and has played sets across the globe including tours of Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the US. |
