
If you are aged 16-19 and considering a career in music, then this course is for you. You will gain practical insights into how music is created in a recording studio and how technology can be used as part of a live performance. Learn from professional DJ's and music producers who have worked alongside major stars including Liam Gallagher, Massive Attack, Sway, Basement Jaxx and former Point Blank student Leona Lewis. Delivered in partnership with Enfield College, this BTEC music course can be combined with a National Award in Music (Composing) in the following year to form a qualification equivalent to a BTEC National Diploma or two 'A' Levels. You will be continually assessed via tutor observation. You will present mix CDs, project plans, project logs, written reports and create a portfolio of your work. The qualification can lead into either a Level 4 Higher National Certificate in Music Production (which you can also take at Point Blank) or provide the points required to gain access to Higher Education.
