CutUp Boys at Point Blank Music School

They’re the kings of the cut-up, the mash-up masters, the bootleg bad boys. Their “Mash Up Mix” on Ministry of Sound Records went Gold in the UK and their weekly mixes are the highlight of Judge Jules’ Radio One show.

Continuing our series of guest lectures, Radio One’s Cut Up Boys visited the music school to reveal the studio secrets behind the perfect mash-up. In addition to these techical insights, the boys also revealed to dj course students the ins and outs of licensing, copyright and royalties and played students exclusive mixes from their forthcoming follow up album. They ended up speaking to students for well over an hour and answering questions on a whole range of subjects. We’d like to extend a very special “Thank You” to Matt and Nick for taking time out to come and visit and hope to see them again soon.
