Winter Term Scholarship winner announced

We are delighted to announce that the Neneh Cherry Scholarship has been awarded this term to Michelle Riley from London. Once again, the standard of the applications was incredibly high, but Michelle won over the judging panel with her overwhelming passion for music and her determination to succeed.

Michelle has been DJing for a number of years and has held residencies in London, New York and Miami as well as several pirate radio stations. She has also worked as a media technician for MTV, but her blossoming career was cut short due to a personal trauma. Undaunted by this, Michelle has continued to strive towards a career in music and is determined to make a successful transition from DJ to producer.

Her knowledge and enthusiasm for house, garage and latin-influenced sounds shone through in her application and we’re confident that you’ll be hearing more from Lady Flex.
