The Independent Schools Inspectorate carried out an official inspection of Point Blank Music College, including its management, staff, tutors, students and courses in January 2012. We are proud to announce that the resulting report shows that we scored the highest marks possible (Exceeds Expectations) in all  categories including outstanding teaching and facilities. Our team of certified instructors know the software inside out and demonstrate how professional producers use its capabilities to the fullest . Point Blank was quick to realise the potential of Ableton Live as a creative tool for DJs producers and performers. Our instructors are certified Ableton Trainers and attend a training programme at Ableton's Berlin HQ in order to ensure that they can pass on the latest knowledge to our students. Our relationship with Steinberg goes way back. Point Blank has taught hundreds of music producers from all over the world to make music using their flagship music package Cubase. The courses have adapted over the years to incorporate new features and innovations and continue to inspire musicians and producers to get creative and get their music heard.

To prepare you for your debut behind the decks, Point Blank ensures students receive professional training on industry standard kit such as the CDJ1000 and DJM600 mixer. Point Blank's Higher National Certificate Course is accredited at Level 4 by EdExcel. If you have completed "A" Levels or a National Diploma and you are looking for a course that challenges you academically as well as musically then this course constitues Year 1 of a BA Hons. degree in Creative Music Technology. Very limited places are available on this course.

Most courses at Point Blank are accredited at Level 3 by The National Open College Network. Students on these courses benefit from award winning practical training delivered by music industry professsionals plus certification that is recognised by employers, colleges and universities in the UK and can count towards your further studies.

Point Blank is partnered with Middlesex University and offers a Cert HE in Music Production and Business with the University (subject to validation, Spring 2012). This qualification is delivered entirely online and consists of six modules, two taken concurrently in each term of the year. The total credit value at HE level is 120 credits. This is a unique opportunity in online learning to combine music industry production and business expertise with an academic HE qualification recognised by a UK university.

Through our partnership with CCCU, students on our HNC Music Production course can progress to year two of a BA Hons. degree programme upon completion of their course. Degree students at Canterbury Christ Church University study at a dedicated music campus in Broadstairs, Kent with cutting edge studio facilities and an in-house record label.
