Students have access to the studio facilities 7 days a week throughout their course. If you would like to come and see the studios for yourself then book a place on our weekly studio tour.

Tours take place EVERY WEDNESDAY AT 3pm and EVERY SATURDAY at 12pm

Studio 1

Featuring an Oram BEQ series 24 mixing desk; a classic analogue console used in studios all over the world. This very desk was used to record the Babyshambles LP "Shotter's Nation"! Each student works on an Apple iMac workstation, with the latest production software installed.

 

Studio 2

Studio 2 features a range of industry standard DJ equipment, allowing you to mix on vinyl, CD or MP3. Get to grips with Technics turntables, Pioneer CDJ's, mixers and effects units, plus the awesome Serato Scratch Live. You'll also learn how to record and edit your mixes on your own Apple workstation.


Studio 3

Each student has their own iMac workstation featuring the latest software packages and plug-ins. Here you will also get hands-on with classic hardware such as the Juno 106 synthesizer, ensuring that you have a sound grasp of the concepts and techniques behind music production.


Studio 4

This project room is designed for students who wish to work in private on their own material or practice the techniques covered in class. Open 7 days a week and featuring a dedicated live recording area, it's the perfect place to work on your final mix or record a vocal session.


Studio 5

This fully equipped recording studio is available to students for practice time and project work 7 days a week. Featuring an Apple Mac workstation, Allen and Heath mixing desk, a variety of hardware outboard and vintage synthesizers, it offers students professional quality recording, editing and mixing facilities.


Studio 6

Studio 6 is a practice area which is open to students 7 days a week. Multiple workstations ensure that every student has the opportunity to reinforce the skills learned in class in a supervised environment. Each Apple Mac workstation features the latest software instruments and plug-ins.


Studio 7

Similar in size and role to Studio 3, this studio has recently been kitted out with 15 dual core iMacs, featuring all the software instruments and plug-ins that you will need to flex your creativity. The ergonomic learning environment has been carefully designed to maximise students' experience.


Studio 8

This studio space is equipped with a TL Audio 24 track valve mixing desk, plus multiple workstations for editing and study research. Studio 8 is also home to the singing course, offering students ample space for warm-ups and technical exercises.
