Course Overview
Developed by music industry professionals who have worked with Bjork, Massive Attack, Blur, Sugababes and many more, the Intensive Music Production & Sound Engineering Diploma is a comprehensive practical guide to the creative music business. This is a one year course of intensive study consisting of two classes per week plus additional studio practical work. It consists of six course modules, each specialising in a particular area of music production and sound recording:
- Module 1: Introduction to Music Production
- Module 2: Music Composition
- Module 3: Sound Design
- Module 4: Sound Engineering
- Module 5: Art of Mixing
- Module 6: Music Industry Project
Each music production course module is twelve weeks in duration and includes unlimited studio practise time. Class sizes are strictly limited and each student has their own Apple Mac audio workstation in class. Classes are taught by professional music producers who have worked with successful recording artists ranging from Sugababes and Jamelia, to Florence and the Machine and La Roux, to Massive Attack and even Bob Marley! Every student on the 1 Year Diploma course has access to the Point Blank studio facilities 7 days a week for the duration of their course, as well as unprecedented access to a range of online resources (worth £3225) from Point Blank online music school.
